My workspace. The disorganization is pathetic, I know.

Taken with the camera phone (great way to take photos each day! why didn't I think of it sooner??)
Me and my favorite scarf, in the car.

Jackson is always sniffing around for human food treats - especially pretzels and white cheddar cheetos.
20Jan2007
I made this sweater for Jackson - he models it well, but hates to wear it. Too bad, it's been so cold!

This picture was an experiment. Give the dog a treat, lay down on the floor, set the timer on the camera, and hope for the best! I really like this shot.

This is the view up the street... I hope I remember to do one of these once a month. That would make a neat collage.

I made this bag! It's for a swap I'm in - still practicing with using a sewing machine, but the bag is lined!

Knitting WIP - These are the monkey socks from knitty.com. I tried something new this time - I was a little concerned about having enough yarn, so I did 5 repeats instead of 6 and did both 'legs' before moving onto the heel. Already seems like I'm that much closer to being finished!

Jackson likes to sleep in the warm laundry. Otherwise, he's not much of a digging / being under the covers dachshund (unless we're there)
10Jan07
Pbbt! I put Jackson up on a vanity and I held a treat while laying down on the floor underneath the table. Fun shot. Jackson got plenty of treats after!

Jackson likes to chew on rawhides. Usually it's great, till the piece gets small and he wants us to hold it for him.

I knit this pair of socks, but when I tried them on, one was way too short for my foot - today I unknit them and fixed my mistakes. This is a good sign that my knititng confidence is growing - these socks were all the way done!

Betsy and I went to the Hopyard Spinnery yarn sale and split a bag. Look at all those rubbermaid containers just waiting to be sorted through! This picture only shows about 25% of the buckets there! We were giddy with our yarn purchases!
(No entry for 5Jan2007. According to Dan, I can miss 60 days.)

Muffins are my downfall. I love the 100 calorie packs of food - satisfying, usually. But this morning, I was expecting cute, tiny, itsy bitsy muffins and I got 2 regular size minimufifns. Grrr.

This is a selection of "trinkets" on my kitchen garden window. My watch and rings are there from when I did the dishes. The cootie bug used to be on a keychain - I loved the game when I was little. The teacup and saucer were given to me by my mom who got them as a shower gift, I think. The garlic is starting to sprout which is pretty cool to see green in January in New England. And the card in the background reads "There is a direct correlation between the level of happiness in one's life and the amount of sillines they allow into it." She said. "I know. I've done studies" - I bought the card because of that saying - I thought it summed up a pretty good life philosophy - have a sense of humor!

January 1 was grey and rainy rainy rainy. This is how we spent most of the day - I knit, while Jackson slept curled up on my lap.

Inspiration Strikes
I'm going to try and have quotations, short explanations, or cool links along with this.
The camera I'll use most often is bound to be my digital camera, but I do have a SLR that I enjoy playing with.
